⭐️ #1:1 ⭐️#Individualized ⭐️#All ages 🖍️ See class description for scope and sequence. This will continue with each new set or block of classes. 🖍️ Classes are set up in groups of 4 weeks, set by the parent and instructor. THIS IN INTENDED TO BE A LONG TERM COMMITMENT. 🖍️ The number of total sections depends upon the pace of the learner. The amount of phonemic awareness (sounds, syllables, sound manipulation, etc.) needed before beginning letters. Approximately 4 letters/one 4-week session. ————————————————————————- Phonemic Awareness is the ability to hear and manipulate the sounds in spoken words and the understanding that spoken words and syllables are made up of sequences of speech sounds (Yopp, 1992; see References). ~Learners will engage in phonemic awareness activities, such as: rhyming, syllables, initial sounds, onset-rime, phoneme segmentation and blending, if informal assessment shows the development of such skills is necessary before phonics instruction. Orton-Gillingham Instruction ~ •Structured, Sequential, Cumulative, and Flexible •Language Based •Multi-Sensory •Reading, spelling, and writing instruction people with dyslexia and other learning disabilities, English Language Learners Each class will begin with oral/auditory warm-ups with a focus on listening for sounds in words, identifying sound placement, and similarities and differences between words.
