In this 7 week course, students will learn about the 7 wonders of the Ancient World, how and where they were build, their significance, and what happened to them.
Class experience
In this class, students will learn about the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. We will examine the origin of each of the wonders, as well as the civilization that built it, where it was located, its purpose, and what has happened to it throughout history. We will discuss the evidence that they structures actually existed whether that evidence is from historical accounts or actual artifacts unearthed to show the validity of the wonder and its existence. I have my BA in Social Studies Education, and 3 years teaching social studies classes at various middle school & high school levels. Additionally, I have a huge passion for Ancient History, Archaeology, and Exploration which helps me fuel my drive to pass on knowledge and an appreciation of these topics to students.
