Description

Class Experience

I will show pictures and examples of the 5 senses via powerpoint: Sight, Sound, Smell, Taste, and Touch.  We will explore which body part is in charge of each sense. Example: I smell with my nose. At the end of the lesson we will sort pictures of different objects to the appropriate sense. 
Students will be asked comprehension questions such as: Can I smell with my eyes? Can we taste the sun? Learners will be given the opportunity to provide their own examples of each sense and ask questions...

Vocabulary words discussed:
- vision, sight
- hearing, listening, audible
- smelling, olfactory bulb, scent
- tasting, taste buds
- touching, texture, nerves

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
