When life doesn't provide sweet lemonade, how do we navigate the relationships, the self-talk, and the punch? In this 2 module course, we will explore practical ways we still can stand tall, move on, and build resilience after a fall.
Class Experience
This course has interaction and personal focus: 1. We take on a real-life experience (an actual activity) to demonstrate the tension of 'fairness' to set a baseline for discussion. 2. We walk through relevant examples of what students deal with in real-life, and reactive behaviors when they think it's unfair. 3. We will cover the broad content 'out of our control' and how our actions can impact relationships, self-care, social groups, and grades. 4. We will cover the application of topics...
This is NOT a class on race, politics, or diversity/inclusion. This class is about middle school experiences relating to feeling 'life's unfair' and how to overcome these experiences. Not making the team, not being tall enough, 'teacher doesn't like me' etc. I have over 3000 Outschool graduates with a 5 STAR rating. I have been teaching life skills for 2 decades in over 40 countries around the world. My goal is not just as motivation and inspiration, but for application.

Please understand that almost 50% of the students that will attend this class are "told to participate" by their parents. This is NOT a class on race, politics, or diversity/inclusion. This class is about middle school experiences relating to feeling 'life's unfair'. I have had a lot of success in winning the kids over in the first session to stay engaged in both sessions. I would ask for your grace in the "transformation" period of becoming responsible... this course has proven data and parent feedback that it can work BUT it is not a magic pill.
