In this exciting and engaging art class, students will get to work on making their own Pokemon collection as we go through the elements and principles of art while recreating the most popular Pokemon characters from the franchise. Including favorites like legendaries, mega evoleved, gigantimax, and regional forms. Students will also be given instruction in the elements and principles of art. Starting with line, shapes and form, plus working towards value, texture, color and space. We will also be adding some of the principles such as movement, rhythm, contrast and balance to create some amazing Pokemon illustrations. This on going course will feature a different Pokemon each week, so those who want to catch'em all should attend all sessions. No prior art experience required. All are welcome! Week 23. Learning Goals
In this class, students will learn the basics of the visual arts. Including the understanding of the elements and principles that make up the tools and ideas of art. They will also be encourage to create a portfolio of their illustrations as we go through popular Pokemon.

Hello, My name is Ciro Casanova and I would love to teach you new and exciting techniques in traditional art as well as digital illustration and photography. I have over 17 years of experience as a former graphic designer as well 5 years experience as a high teacher. I have a Masters in Illustration and a certification to teach K-12. I believe that all students have the ability to grow as artists in their own way. The things I teach are just one of many different ways to complete a task. I always encourage my students to practice, grow and always be open to new experiences. On the side I like to collect toys and play fetch with my Labrador, Max!
