Course Description: Is the respectful exchange of ideas a lost art? In this ongoing debate club, students ages 7 - 8 will learn how to disagree politely through informed and respectful debate of an age-appropriate topic. Learners will work in teams of 2 to discuss their assigned topic and their side of the topic. Then each team will engage in a weekly debate and other activities to develop their speaking skills. A few minutes of planning before class to think about the assigned topic of the week will help the student have the best experience in the class. **Age guidelines are to ensure material and pacing is appropriate for your child.
