Over 2 class meetings, we will explore using descriptive language such as adjectives and adverbs to describe something in detail. For our 2nd class meeting, students will prepare a wrapped item and descriptive clues to share with the class.

Class experience

Students should bring a dry erase board and marker or a notebook and writing utensil to class. We will use these to jot down some amazing adjectives and adverbs.

Prior to our 2nd class, each child will choose an item and write 5+ adjectives or sentences with adjectives and adverbs to describe the item. Each child will bring their wrapped item to class. They will start by reading the trickiest clue first then finish with their easiest clue (we will practice this in the first class). The goal is for us to guess the item by the time we have all of the descriptive clues.

***Parents please make sure you have approved of the item that your child is bringing to class. Although you do not need to tell me what the item is, I will send you a message prior to our 2nd class to ensure that you have approved the item.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
