What will be taught? -In this course, students will learn problem-solving, teamwork, creativity, and resource management by engaging in Thanksgiving-themed Minecraft activities. They will explore, build, and complete challenges like creating a feast, building a village, and hunting turkeys. What topics will you cover? -The course covers Thanksgiving traditions, early settlements, and key skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, and critical thinking. Through fun and interactive challenges, students will also learn about historical aspects of the holiday. How is your class structured? -The class is structured across four sessions, each focused on a different activity: creating a Thanksgiving feast, building a Pilgrim village, hunting turkeys, and playing harvest festival games. Each session encourages teamwork and hands-on learning. How will you teach? -Teaching will be done through guided gameplay in Minecraft, where students will explore the world, solve puzzles, and build together. Instructions will be clear and visual, with step-by-step guidance to support students through each challenge. What’s your teaching style? -Our teaching style is interactive, student-centered, and collaborative. We emphasize creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork, allowing students to take the lead in their learning while receiving support and guidance from instructors. How much will learners get to interact with you? -Students will have frequent interaction with instructors through group discussions, real-time gameplay support, and problem-solving sessions. The instructors will provide guidance during in-game challenges and ensure students stay engaged with the activities.

Build a Pilgrim Village
Students will work in teams to build a Pilgrim-style village, complete with log cabins, barns, and a community hall. They’ll learn about early settlements while adding decorative elements like campfires, torches, and small farms to their historical village. 55 mins online live lesson

Thanksgiving Feast Preparation Adventure
In this class, students will embark on a “harvest” quest to gather ingredients like pumpkins, wheat, apples, and potatoes. Together, they will cook and create a grand Thanksgiving feast, arranging a festive dining table in a cozy Minecraft setting. 55 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Turkey Hunt Challenge
In this fun-filled class, students will explore a Thanksgiving-themed Minecraft map to find and “catch” hidden turkeys. Using clues and teamwork, they’ll sharpen their problem-solving skills while hunting down these festive creatures around the map. 55 mins online live lesson

Harvest Festival Games

If the student wants to join the world and play together they will need: - Minecraft BEDROCK edition - which is available on PC, Xbox, Playstation, Mobile, Nintendo Switch, and more! - Signed into your Microsoft account (so we can add each other as friends) If the student wants to join to work on their world and talk about Minecraft with others but NOT play on the server, the above is not required. Note: Bedrock version does not work on Mac.
