Class Experience

Gobble Gobble! Get ready for Thanksgiving in this playful and fun, kids yoga class taught by the Founder of Hop Along Yogi Kids yoga and inspired by all things Thanksgiving! Class will begin with a short introduction to yoga and students will have an opportunity to go around the Zoom sharing what they're thankful for. Next, we'll do a short warm-up to stretch out our muscles followed by a turkey dance which is an active movement exercise that will wake-up our bodies and our brains. The instructor, Ms. Laura, will share a variety of Thanksgiving-themed images and teach the students corresponding yoga poses such as Mayflower Pose, Pilgrim Pose, Pumpkin Pose, Horn of Plenty Pose, and more! Class will end in relaxation with a guided meditation focused on gratitude, peace, and joy.

Kids will learn a variety of Thanksgiving-themed yoga poses that improve balance, coordination, and flexibility.
Class instructions will enhance listening skills and body awareness.
Positive affirmations will build self-confidence and breathing techniques promote mindfulness.

Parental Guidance
By joining this class, you declare that you/your child is physically fit and ready to participate in yoga classes and understand that yoga, as with any physical activity, may involve some risk of injury. If at any time you/your child feels discomfort or strain, gently come out of the posture. You may rest at any time during the class. It is your responsibility to consult with your child's physician with respect to any past or present injury, illness, health problem or any other condition or medication that may affect your child's participation. You will need an open workout space, slip proof socks or bare feet, a mat or carpet, and active-wear clothing for the class.
