Description

Class Experience

This is a review style course intended to keep students brain fresh on Thanksgiving break so they are ready to keep learning when they return to school. Students should already know consonant sounds, short vowel sounds, digraphs (sh, ch, th), and be familiar with consonant blends. Students will need writing materials.

Review of early phonics concepts including:
-short vowels
-consonant sounds
-blends
-digraphs

Practice:
-decoding and reading words
-spelling and writing words
-phonemic...

Students will review early phonics concepts including short vowels, consonant sounds, blends, and digraphs.

Writing materials such as whiteboard and marker, paper and pencil/marker.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Informal assessment

1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
