Class Experience
Learners will have a better understanding of how to keep their pets safe during the holiday and beyond.
I have been a certified veterinary technician for more than 30 years, have a MEd from Colorado State University, and have been teaching at a local colleges in both veterinary assistant programs and an equine studies program. I have also taught a variety of veterinary science programs for grades 3-5, 6-8, and high school. Prior to teaching I was in management at one of the largest veterinary practices in my state that included a 24 Hour regional veterinary emergency clinic. I spent many Thanksgiving and Christmas days at the emergency clinic and have lots to share from my experiences. I am a lifelong learner myself and love sharing my excitement for learning! I am also a homeschool mom! At home, my family has 3 mini horses, a Paint horse, 5 Nigerian dwarf goats, 9 chickens and 3 cats! I am passionate about sharing my experience and love for animals and veterinary medicine with all learners from diverse backgrounds from all around the world! If your learner has a dream to be a veterinary professional, then I am excited to help them on these first steps!
