Practice speaking Spanish in this semi-immersive weekly 45 minute class! Each week we will have a different topic to get the conversation going. During class, students will take turns talking about the topic with each other. If a student hits a rough patch with some grammar, I will help guide them through it so that they can get their idea across. The class time will be divided as follows: First 40 minutes: Discussing the topic (using Spanish as much as possible) Final 5 minutes: Answering questions and clearing up any doubts about what we talked about (in Spanish and English) Here is a list of the planned themes for the class: Week of May 15: Food Week of May 22: Books, Movies, and TV Shows Week of May 29: Jobs Week of June 5: Favorite Activities I love speaking Spanish and I hope to pass on my enthusiasm to your student as well!
Learning Goals
Students will develop fluency in Spanish.
Students will improve their confidence when using the Spanish language.
Students will also develop their listening comprehension abilities as they listen and respond to their classmates.
