In this ongoing course, learners will cover a different dictator from throughout history each week. The class will teach the historical context of when they ruled, their rise to power, and some of their worst crimes as a ruler. This class is taught by a veteran history teacher with 15 years of experience and all content will be age-appropriate and discussion is encouraged. Learning Goals
Students will be able to look critically at what makes a functioning democracy vs the situation in which a dictator is able to rise to power and create an autocracy.

Parental Guidance
This class will cover content in a manner that is age-appropriate for upper elementary students. I have 15 years of experience teaching upper elementary and middle school social studies so all content will be crafted for students in that age range. This class will carefully teach the basic facts of each dictator's rise to power.
