Join me as we enter the majestic, mysterious, and often bizarre world of spiders. Through teacher created slideshow, students will explore the unique structural and behavioral adaptations that allow spiders to survive in their habitats. Using a fun countdown format, we will delve into the wonderful world of spiders and why they should be loved and protected. The culminating activity includes creating a new species of spider with structural and behavioral adaptations that allow it to survive in its chosen habitat. Students will share their creation with the class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a veteran teacher with 15 years of classroom experience. I have taught students from kindergarten through eighth grade and have extensive experience creating and teaching science related content. I have also integrated science topics into all content areas and enjoy using lessons about the natural world to motivate my students. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Educational Technology. In my spare time I enjoy learning about nature and using my experiences to create lessons that are both unique and interesting.
