Class Experience

We will start the class with brief introductions in Spanish to get to know each other. I will be teaching students numbers 1-30 and we will do some short practice activities and a guessing game. I will teach students how to count and then we will practice solving simple addition and subtraction problems. After that, we will learn how to tell time and students will practice common expressions related to telling time. We will do some practice examples to apply what we've learned. The class will be a mix of English and Spanish. I will be using a PowerPoint with visuals and simple math problems throughout the class. Part of the class will be lecture, but students will be practicing speaking when answering questions and solving problems. We will also do a quick guessing game as a brain break and there will be a short video included. Prior knowledge of Spanish numbers is helpful, but not required. We will spend some time reviewing these. This class is for beginners to low intermediate.
