In this one time class, we take a virtual tour through Stockholm, Sweden. In this class we learn the geography, history and culture of Stockholm, Sweden and much more. Stockholm is the capital and largest city of Sweden and capital of the Scandinavian Union. A city full of unique medieval charm and modern style. We will tour the Old Town where we will be transported back to the Middle Ages. With cobblestone streets and colourfully pained houses. We will also visit the historical and modern palaces in Stockholm. Then we will visit the modern museum Fotogriska, Stockholm's incredible Museum of Photography. Other museums we will visit is the Nordic Museums and the stunning Vasa Museum which house the an epic 1625 Nordic warship. There is also the Abba Museum for music lovers. The metro (subway) stations are museums themselves. With all the stations covered in unique art installations. Did you know Stockholm home to the Nobel Prizes in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine and literature? There is also a Nobel Museum to learn the history of this prestigious award. We will also discover what the 14 islands that make up Stockholm have to share. Finally, we will take a food tour to indulge in unique Nordic and Scandinavian cuisine.
