In this interactive class, students who are curious about how to start their own non-profit organization will get the inspiration and the practical steps to know how it is done. Maybe you want to start a summer program to help children who do not have food. You might want to start a group that helps youth play sports who usually are not able to. Or create a nonprofit that provides support to families with children in the hospital. Whatever your passion is, you have the ability to make a bigger impact. There are four sessions filled with discussion, setting goals, and taking action to create a plan that students can follow. Student will also learn a free Project Management Program that helps keep them organized. Each session we will address a different question. Session One - Is it possible for teens to start a non-profit? Session Two - What kind of non-profit can I start? Session Three - What do I need to start a non-profit? Session Four - I have what I need - What now? At the end of the class students will know if starting a non-profit is what they want to do, what options are available to them, and the next steps they need to follow.
