In the Teenpreneur Bootcamp, students will be introduced to the fundamental concepts of entrepreneurship. They will learn how to generate and evaluate business ideas, create a basic business plan, and understand marketing and branding essentials. The Teenpreneur Bootcamp is structured to provide an engaging and comprehensive introduction to entrepreneurship. We begin with a welcome and icebreaker activity, followed by an overview of entrepreneurship and examples of successful teen entrepreneurs. Next, we move into an idea generation session where students brainstorm potential business ideas and discuss how to evaluate and select a viable one. We then cover the basics of creating a business plan, with an interactive activity to help students outline a plan for their chosen idea. This is followed by a segment on marketing and branding, where students learn the fundamentals of promoting their business and reaching target customers. Finally, we wrap up with a Q&A session, allowing students to ask questions and discuss their ideas, concluding with a summary of key points and next steps for aspiring teenpreneurs. How will you teach? I will teach using a mix of interactive discussions, brainstorming sessions, and hands-on activities. Visual aids, such as slides and real-world examples, will illustrate key concepts. Students will engage in activities that help them apply what they've learned in practical ways. What's your teaching style? My teaching style is interactive, engaging, and supportive. I focus on making learning fun and accessible, encouraging students to think creatively and critically. I aim to inspire entrepreneurial confidence and enthusiasm through relatable examples and practical activities. How much will learners get to interact with you? Learners will have ample opportunities to interact with me and each other. Professionally, I specialize in empowering women entrepreneurs through strategic business coaching. I hold a BA in Business Management and an MA in Divinity. My experience includes developing and teaching curriculum, coaching over 1700 entrepreneurs, and facilitating programs for the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center. I have extensive experience in math education, digital content creation, and using AI tools to bring creative ideas to life.
My teaching philosophy is all about empowerment, creativity, and practical application. I believe in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can gain confidence, explore their interests, and develop valuable skills. I focus on personalized coaching, hands-on projects, and community fostering. My goal is to inspire students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and pursue their dreams with confidence.
On a fun and personal note, I love teaching both young people and adults, sharing my creativity and knowledge with others. I am a proud mom and a Boy Scout mom, and I enjoy using my son’s gifts to create unique projects. I used to be a middle school math teacher for 17 years and loved creating fun projects and experiences for my students to learn at their unique pace and according to their abilities. Outside of teaching, I enjoy exploring new technologies, the beach, and engaging in community activities.
