4 day Camp about mindfulness, yoga, and meditation for teens using activities, visualizations, breathing, and slow movement, which help foster kindness, empathy, and gratitude which will enhance calmness, reduce stress and anxiety.

Join me for four days filled with meditations, breathing, yoga, and mindful crafts. As with all my classes, this class is a safe place to learn about mindfulness and yoga. There are no judgments and no experience is needed. Mindfulness and yoga is a personal journey, so there are no right or wrongs ways - I am here to help you on that journey. Over four days we will incorporate fun mindfulness activities along with yoga and mediation. Each day we will have new activities that help to bring...

I am a certified Yoga Alliance yoga teacher. I also a certified mindfulness life coach and meditation guide. I love yoga and I love sharing it along with all of its benefits with my students.
1 file available upon enrollmentStudents should have a yoga mat or a towel for class. If you are using a towel please make sure it is not on a slippery surface. Bare feet is preferable as it allows for a better grip. But if you would like to wear socks please make sure they are yoga-style socks with grip points on the sole. Please make sure to have water available and comfortable clothing that will allow movement. Also for our mindfulness activities, below is the supply list for ALL activities. Each day will need a portion of these items for each individual day: Day 1 - Zen Circles: * Paint (watercolor or acrylic art paints) * water * Paper (thick paper preferable) * Thick Brush Day 2 - Neuropgrahica drawing.: * drawing paper (or blank printer paper) * black sharpie or marker * markers or coloring pencils Day 3 - Nature Mandala * paper plate or placemat- make sure it is ROUND - this is our base * selection of nature items - make sure to get 4 or more of each item. Examples - shells, pebbles, sticks/twigs, flowers, leaves, string/twine Day 4 - Drawing your breath: * markers or coloring pencils ( drawing pastels or chalk can be used) * paper
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
3 hours 20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students should have a yoga mat or a towel for class. If you are using a towel please make sure it is not on a slippery surface. Bare feet is preferable as it allows for better grip. If at any time during the class, your student feels discomfort or strain, they are to gently come out of the posture. Your student may rest at any time during the class. It is important in yoga that your student listens to their body, and respect its limits on any given day. As their yoga teacher, I remind students to listen to their bodies and not to strain. Please also note: yoga is a physical activity and injuries can occur if children aren't supervised. Thank you.
