What's included

22 live meetings
16 hrs 30 mins in-class hours
Assignments
1 hour per week. Assignments are optional, unless you would like your learner to receive a grade. If time allows, assignments may be done in class. Otherwise, students can do them outside of class for reflection or turn them in for evaluation. Assignments will be short answer and are more about developing proactive thought patterns than “right” or “wrong.”
Certificate of Completion
I can provide a certification of completion upon request, for learners who have attended and participated regularly. Participation can be achieved in a variety of ways. Learners will not be put on the spot or required to share.
Grading
I can provide detailed feedback on the assignments upon request.

This class will set you up for success by helping you identify your strengths and providing tips, tricks, and tools for your challenges.

Teen Success Toolkit Part 1 includes 
an introduction to executive function skills and why they matter and instruction on five executive function skills:
Planning and Time Management, Organization, Task Initiation, Attention Span, and Perseverance

Each topic is broken down into 3-5 lessons that will include lecture, class discussion, guided notes templates, and detailed handouts. 

The introduction will include optional assessments of Executive Function Skills and Multiple Intelligences

The lessons on planning will include a free digital Student Dashboard and a free digital Weekly Planner in Apple Numbers or Excel

I strive to make my classes engaging, inclusive, and easy to understand. Learners will come away feeling valued, validated, and empowered.

Other Details

Learning Needs
Almost all neurodivergent people struggle with executive function skills but not all EF challenges are caused by neurodivergence. I strive to provide a welcoming, inclusive, safe classroom for all learners. If you have questions, reach out!
Parental Guidance
Some tools and resources may be suggested throughout the course. No purchases are required. For example, we will talk about things like fidgets or noise filtering ear plugs as useful tools but they will not be required for class at any point. I am flexible on age and grade level so if you think a younger learner is ready for this class, let me know.
