Teen Social Club--Let's Talk, Socialize, Learn From Each Other and Have Fun
In this ongoing social club, learners will be free to talk, ask questions, meet new people from around the world and have fun being themselves. We will do games, ask questions, talk about future plans, show and tell (talents, pets, etc).

Social Clubs are a great way to meet new people and get the “jitters” out. If your teen has ever been nervous or anxious about talking with someone new, this will be a safe place. When students feel comfortable in the class they will help direct the lessons for the day. What will the group do during our meeting--games, current events, goals, or talk about talents and skills, show and tell, etc.? The plan for this class is to make it a place to enjoy talking and socializing without fear of judgment. Week 1 Introductions and welcome! Where do you live? No specifics!! If you live in the United States, what state? If you live outside the United States, what country? Tell us about you! Favorite things: music, pets, art, movies, television, academic subject? Week 2 Introductions and welcome to anyone new to the group. What are your goals in life? Do you have plans for a future career? Do you already have a bucket list of things you want to do and places you want to go? Want to share your talents? Bring instruments, paintings, drawings, hobbies, collections, etc. Week 3 Introductions and welcome to anyone new to the group. What are some of your favorite things? Movies, foods, games, etc.? Do you have a pet? We would love to see your pets. Week 4 Introductions and welcome to anyone new to the group. What is the craziest thing you have ever eaten? Where would you like to visit? What is the most exciting place you have visited? Please Note: This is a social club, if a student asks questions about a social skill or how to become more confident, I will do my best to teach them, however, this is NOT a class where I will for the most part, be teaching social skills. This is simply a place to come hang out and for students to share their ideas and experiences, and ask each other questions.
Learning Goals
Improve listening skills, speaking skills and build confidence while engaging with others. The ultimate goal is to HAVE FUN!!

Parental Guidance
This class will be a place for students to engage and socialize with other students. It is important to have at least 3 students in the class. If there is not at least 3 students who have signed up for the class, the class will be cancelled.
Supply List
Kahoot may be used. If we decide as a group that we want to do a kahoot challenge students will be asked to go to kahoot.it.com and they will get a PIN number to enter to participate in the challenge.
