What's included
3 live meetings
3 in-class hoursClass Experience
This class is designed to give teens an opportunity to relax, create, and socialize. Each week the teacher will give step-by-step instruction for creating a new craft project. Socialization is highly encouraged throughout the meeting. We will learn basic crafting skills such as, hand sewing, painting, beading, jewelry making, clay, and many more. Most craft projects will require minimum supplies and we try to keep supply costs under $5 per project. Upcycling and using what supplies you already have is encouraged. Week 1 - May 6 - We will upcycle a jar and a cardboard box into a fun miniature garden. Week 2 - May 13 - You'll be amazed at what you can create from a cereal box! Week 3 - May 20 - Wooden clothespins are turned into a sculpture that is nothing less than amazing! Come join us as we create, chat, and have lots of fun!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern State University
Hello! My name is Ms Lauren Kimberly Iseley and I live in Oklahoma, USA. I am a mother of a 22 year old and a 15 year old. I home schooled both of my children from kindergarten to college. I love teaching and I am known for being very patient and encouraging.
I hold a degree in Accounting and a degree in Business Administration (Quantitative Analysis).
I really enjoy crafting and being super-creative! Creativity helps expand our minds and helps us solve everyday problems with "out of the box" solutions. Creativity is something that needs to be nurtured in every child.
I also teach math. If your student is struggling in math, it is most likely because they aren't having fun learning! Consider this....you can remember the words to a song but you can't remember basic math calculations. That is because the songs were set to music and your brain associated the song with fun....I teach math based on this principle.
I am an award-winning cake artist and love crafting and baking. I am excited to get to know your student and help them achieve their goals!
