Description

Class Experience

I currently teach high school in the state of North Carolina, United States. I teach Food and Nutrition and Career Management to students in grades 9-12. I am your resident life skills lady. If it has anything to do with life skills, then you can find me somewhere hanging around in the shadows. I teach Food classes and I also teach classes on topics of communication, public speaking, and building strong interpersonal skills. I am also an award-winning oratorical contest participant in which I was a three-year defending champion in a speech/public speaking contest for a non-profit organization.

My Teaching Philosophy
I believe that one of the main components of being a successful teacher is knowing and understanding that every single student has their own needs and requirements when it comes to learning. There should never be a “one-size fits all” approach when it comes to providing instruction because it just will not work. This is why I love teaching so much. I love teaching because it gives me the opportunity to help others grow in whatever manner they specifically need and that is where my passion truly lies.
Students will need a journal, spiral notebook, or composition notebook to wrote down their responses to the weekly questions.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
