Homework
1-2 hours per week. Students will receive optional practice exercise at the conclusion of each class to gauge their understanding. They may upload their responses or ask questions for feedback before the following session. Packets are designed to be completed independently or with family, and where appropriate, include answer keys.
Certificate of Completion
A certificate of completion will be offered indicating the content covered, hours of participation, and student name. This can include key ideas, themes, or concepts which they feel stand out, questions they have about major ideas, or extension of ideas by making connection to their own lives.

In Business 101: How People Become Rich, teens will learn the foundational skills of entrepreneurship and wealth-building through five powerful, action-packed sessions.

This course simplifies complex business ideas into real-world concepts that teens can understand—and apply. From finding profitable ideas to marketing and launching a business, students will gain a practical, strategic view of how wealth is built in the real world.

Each session blends fast-paced instruction, group discussion, and simple business-building exercises. Students will leave each class with tools they can use to build, refine, and launch a real idea.

Assignments will be given to help reinforce key concepts through guided application.

This course is rooted in classical economic theory and the Enlightenment ideals of private property, free markets, and wealth-building through individual effort and innovation. We embrace the principles of financial independence, ownership, and value creation as essential for personal success.

We do not cover command-based or collectivist economic systems in this course.

 Topic: Core purpose of a business and wealth-building models

Objective: Students will learn how businesses solve problems in exchange for money, and explore the 4 wealth paths: employee, self-employed, business owner, and investor.

Finding a Business Idea + Understanding Your Customer
 Topic: Idea generation, customer discovery, and market demand

Objective: Students will develop potential business ideas by solving real-world problems and learning how to identify and understand their ideal customers.

Parental Guidance
This class will discuss very real financial choices and concepts. Real world events may be discussed as they apply to student questions or topics of discussion. The instructor's objective is to illustrate ideas and prompt students to think about this material as how it relates to their lives. Sometimes, questions regarding how politics relates to financial ideas (especially taxes) will arise. The instructor seeks to explain various concepts from an informative perspective and does not seek to "sway" student's political opinions.
Pre-Requisites
Students need to have a basic understanding of personal finance. I teach a personal finance intro course (both live and self directed). Please message for details. Happy to help!
