No experience needed!!!! As a group we will learn ukulele basics and the 3 chords needed for our first song. Each class will start with a review (if applicable), an introduction of our new concept, and end with playing a song together. Solo performances in front of the group are completely optional. Students will unmute their mics when the teacher is listening to correct tuning and chord playing. Camera access is not required but highly encouraged for teaching purposes. This is a stress...
Students will learn how to hold, tune, and play 3 chords successfully on the ukulele.
All you need is a ukulele (no baritone ukulele, please), a clip on tuner (I recommend snark tuners $12), and your computer. I also like to use headphones but those are optional. Average soprano ukulele cost is $50 - $70. Toy ukuleles from 5 below or walmart are not acceptable instruments to use for this course. Message me for recommendations.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Worksheets will be provided.
