In this ongoing class, the learner will learn the art of grandma's baking and goodies.
Class experience
In this class, we will learn the art of candy making. Each week we will make a different type of candy. Most recipes are old fashion recipes that I have made for years. There is no prior knowledge needed for this class and each class is a stand-alone class. This class is 100% interactive and I will be making candy along with the learners. The learner will be able to see and taste a finished product by the end of class. The learner is welcome to print and keep the recipe for future use and to...
To teach the art of candy and treat making. Art of cooking Art of canning To read a recipe and alter it if necessary. To use tools such as stove, oven, and microwave to prepare candy or treats To learn the history of the candy or treats when information is available. To display or package the candy or treats for gifts or safe storage.
Cutting board, microwave-safe dish (large measuring cup with handle is best) I will send a list of ingredients a week before class begins.
Please note the following: 1.We will be using the stove, oven, and microwave. 2. We will be handling hot liquid and other items. 3. We will be using knives during this class for cutting. 4. FOOD ALLERGENS: please be aware that we are using chocolates, eggs, and nuts in the class. PLEASE let me know ahead of time if your child has food allergies. Coming from a mom who has a child with said allergies, I can provide alternative ingredients for the child.
