In this 4 week class students will learn the basics of creating black and white images using any phone or camera. They will need basic filters/editing app or software to make the photos black and white, which are included in most devices.

In this 4 week class students will be learning the basics in black and white photography while making new friends and learning about themselves as artists. Bring your camera or device to each class. Explore your camera's settings or filters before class to make sure you have an option to turn any image monochromatic. Students will learn the basics of black and white photography while also making new friends.
Each class will have a project that will be presented during the next class.
Any device that can photograph (phone, tablet, or camera) and can turn the image into black and white.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Some students may need help with photographic devices.
