Class Experience

Hello and welcome to my Teddy Bear Tea Party! I am so glad you are here! This one-time class is geared towards young learners, ages 3-5 years old. This class is a social club that will encourage your child to improve social skills needed in both the online and in person classroom settings. We will begin each class with a hello song and go over the classroom rules. We will then introduce ourselves and our teddy bears (or any favorite stuffed animal), answer some "get to know you" questions such as favorite colors, food, what we want to be when we grow up. We will discuss if we are drinking tea, water, juice (or a pretend drink!), and any snacks that we also may be eating. We will take turns raising our hands, asking and answering questions, and using our words to encourage our classmates! It is also ok if your learner only wants to listen while hugging their teddy bear! This class is intended to be a relaxed and playful environment. My goal is for your child to learn to feel comfortable in a classroom setting, especially online, so that they may feel more confident in other classes they may take. Learning how to communicate, socialize, ask, and answer questions in an online classroom can take practice. My Teddy Bear Tea Pary is great way for your child to ease into it, and build their confidence! I can't wait to meet your child (and their teddy bear) and have tea together, soon!

Learning Goals

Students will learn social skills needed in order to get the most out of online learning through improving their speaking and listening skills, understanding of classroom rules, and interacting with their teacher and peers.
