I've been teaching technology in a public school setting for five years. Photoshop is my favorite tech to teach kids. I love to see their excitement and creativity.
Mac or PC (no Chromebooks or iPads or similar devices) and an Adobe Photoshop subscription you can purchase at Adobe.com. A mouse is very helpful vs. a thumb pad on a laptop. I recommend dual screens. If you choose to use dual screens, you should set them up, learn how to use them, and troubleshoot in advance, however, because I'm unable to assist in setup during class because it will halt the other student's lesson. Everything must be in working order when we begin class.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
