Did you always want to play the guitar really well? Then this course is ideal for you. We will go through all the stages of learning how to practice and master the technique on the classical guitar.

We will start learning about what guitar technique is, why we need it and how to practise it. I will show you have to create a daily technique routine.

Introduction to the course - What is technique?

In this lesson we will learn how to practise on scales, how many key signatures we have and how to play faster and more fluent.

In this lesson we will learn how to practise on arpeggios, what an arpeggio is and where arpeggios are used. 

Arpeggios

In this lesson we will learn about the diminished scales, whole tone scales and modes.

Special scales

In this lesson we will practise on chord inversions, where they are and how to memorize them. 

Chord inversions

In this lesson we will study I piece and create our own exercise to be able to play this piece. This is a great way to learn how to build your technique on your own.

Creating your own exercises

In this lesson we will practise on left hand triplets, using slurs. We will also work on right hand triplets.

Triplets

In this lesson we will practise on a very difficult guitar technique. We will play with dynamics in different fingers and at the same time play with all the right hand fingers. One note will be louder and the rest will be in the background. This is a very important technique in any piece of music.

Dynamics 

In this lesson we will practise on the technique which perhaps reminds us most of Spain and its music. The technique rasgueado can be performed in many different ways and this is an introduction to this technique.

In this lesson we will learn what the tremolo is and which fingers in the right hand we use which creates the tremolo technique.

Basic Tremolo 

In this lesson we will learn how to practise tremolo in different ways to train the fingers and create a more fluent technique.

In this lesson we will practise on left hand technique and I will help you to master trills and slurs.

In this lesson we will practise on the right hand pattern from the first study by H. Villa Lobos.

In this lesson we will work on the tremolo but now it will appear in the bass instead of the treble strings.

Tremolo in the bass

In this lesson we will learn how to damp the strings with the thumb. Have you ever thought that a bass string keeps ringing long after the note was supposed to be played? This technique class will solve this problem.

In this lesson we will go through the material we have learned and this is also a good time to ask questions.
