Beginner - Advanced Level
What will be taught: Information Technology, Software Development & Coding, Web/Design, Data, and Security by participating in a hands-on activity that simulates an actual technology job task. Structure: 60 minute class Teaching Style: Quick introduction of concepts and then hands-on demonstrations with students following along and asking questions. We might write some code, deploy software to the cloud, backup files, create a website, look at security, or work with a database. Requirements: Students need a web browser, should be able to navigate the web, and be able to interact with the exercises. The best experience is to have multiple monitors or devices so that students can watch the shared coding screen on Zoom and follow along on their own in a web browser.
Learning Goals
Exposure to what different computer technologists do at work by utilizing hands-on activities that simulate actual tech jobs. The goal is to develop basic computing skills, learn about how computers work, have fun, and explore together!Other Details
