Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 8
In this historically accurate class, we will look at the five teas the American colonists threw off the ships in Boston Harbor that fateful day in December, 1773. We will taste Bohea, Hyson, Congou, Singlo, Souchong teas and compare notes. Be prepared to taste different hot teas. This class will explore the tea exports into the American colonies in the 1700s and why England taxed the teas. This is not a class on the thickly sourcing of teas but simply looking at and tasting the different teas of the Boston Tea Party and how American colonists viewed tea in the late 1700s. Your cost includes 5 samples of tea shipped to you but you must privately email a mailing address at least 1 week in advance for US addresses and 2 weeks advance for international. Class must have a minimum of 3 students.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Greetings!
My name is Ms. Brown. I teach etiquette, writing, editing, soft skills, reading, adulting, business, and leadership.
Like you, I love learning new things and value education for all ages. I believe learning happens everywhere and not just in a school room or university. If you open your eyes, ears, mind and heart, you can learn everywhere!
I have an associates degree in journalism and writing; a bachelor's degree in business management; and a masters degree in international relations and diplomacy. I also have certificates in digital media marketing as well as etiquette, manners, and international protocol.
I am the mom of a college age son who sometimes gets tired of his mom always correcting his grammar and table manners. And I have a very well behaved chocolate lab dog named Emily (after one of my favorite authors, Emily Bronte).
