I am offering this class, as I have been teaching a child with Asperger's for over 5 years now and I struggled with watching other teachers try to teach him to read. I have also taught other students that I have tutored with the same methods that are work.  I learned the steps that the students required and then I asked them how we could improve the methods of how they are learning to read. Each student also gets to choose their reading or books, which is extremely important to a child. I also know that I can teach a child to read as the students I have tutored can now read short chapter books and are learning more every day on how to read bigger chapter books. I am very patient and also I look to each child for guidance on what they like or what they want to read about, these methods do work and I want to be able to help other children to be able to read also. 

1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
