We will discuss the basic steps needed to become a classroom teacher. The many educational opportunities and how these will give opportunities in the future. Types of teachers - Elementary, Middle School, High School and specializing in a field (Special Education, Math, Science, etc) Where to get information on licensing in your state. I will share my teaching journey including my time as an elementary teacher before becoming a Special Education teacher, There will be lots of interacting to answer questions and make sure the students leave the class with a good idea of how they can plan on a career in teaching.
Learning Goals
Students will understand the steps to become a teacher and what the lifestyle is like once they achieve their goal.

A one-page handout for students to take notes will be supplied.
