US Grade 1 - 2
Nouns are the cornerstone to any proper sentence. In this one-time intro class meant for our youngest learners, learners will learn what nouns are and what kinds of nouns exist ( we will cover common, proper, singular, plural, abstract and concrete in this class), using both serious and silly words! We will also practice identifying and listing different kinds of nouns. I will utilize slides while presenting the information on nouns, and answer questions throughout. During the last activity where we identify and list nouns as a group, I will annotate the correct responses given by learners into the screen. Learners who may not even know what a noun is yet may be surprised to learn through this class that nouns are around them all the time, and they have expertise in what nouns are!
