Students will have the opportunity to create art in a relaxed environment. Techniques will be shared as tips - not requirements - for creating art. Create new art or work on unfinished artwork or projects. This ongoing, 35-minute course will be a fun and calm workspace for artists of all levels. Learners are encouraged to share their art and techniques with peers, building self-confidence and positive interactions over common interests. This course is a relaxed, student-centered class. Students will have the option of choosing techniques and skills they would like more feedback on. Enjoy exploring with acrylics, watercolors, pencil, colored pencils, oils, etc. The options are endless. I really want learners to have an environment in which they dive deep into their creative world and pour it out... Simply, relax and create your best art! The class will include: *Welcome: Each child is greeted by their name and share finished garden artwork from the previous day. *Focus: briefly share art techniques, *Create: new art or work on ongoing artwork or projects *Share: Finished Artwork (finish at home if extra time is needed outside of class & share during the following class) *Chat: All things art *This class is for all leveled artists, no prior skills are necessary.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been married for 12 years to my fabulous husband. We have two creative boys, 9 & 4, that love nature, tinkering, garden railroading, construction, demolition, Mario, and Minecraft. We share our love with our eight backyard chickens, centipedes, slugs, worms, and a spider or two!
I currently own and operate a Hands-On Gardening Educator business, teaching clients how to grow their own food and the importance of having symbiotic relationships with nature. I design the perfect garden layout personalized for each client. I also teach gardening classes online for adults. I also volunteer on our community radio station, in which I share gardening tips on the radio to community listeners.
For the past two summers, I have taught at an arts camp with themes like solar systems and in focus. It was a fabulous experience. For several years, I have also volunteered with our local Cub Scouts pack as an assistant cubmaster and den leader for several years. I have completed Youth Protection training, Baloo training, and over 25 completed cub scout training courses. Nature based and life skill lessons are some of my favorites to teach
