In this book club, the student will read about 2 chapters a week of L. Frank Baum's American Literary Classic, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz"! We will meet twice a week and discuss each chapter. As a Disney-trained artist, I also encourage kids to draw and share their own illustrations of the events of each chapter lead by myself sharing my own. We'll discuss the twelve steps of the hero's journey and identify them as they appear in the literature. This is a good way to learn about story...
