Class Experience

US Grade 8 - 11
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Welcome to our how to draw mythical creatures class for historians, fantasy nerds, lovers of D&D and artists alike, where together we will learn how to draw and how to use a variety of shading techniques to create both realistic drawings and cartoons. This art class is perfect for intermediate artists and specializes in using step by step drawing and shading demonstrations to help blossoming artists perfect their skills.

This drawing class is also perfect for both neuro divergent learners and homeschool families because it combines a variety of general subject matter including history and culture while using an adaptable teaching style and affordable materials. Each day your student will be encouraged to ask questions and will have the opportunity to display their drawings at the end of each session.

The first half of class will begin with good news and an ice breaker. This will allow all of us to get a better chance to get to know your students and their friends. Then, we will then we will learn a few educational facts about the mythical creature we are focusing on for that week. Then we will learn how to draw that mythical creature under the guidance of a certified art educator.

Each week we will focus on one particular subject and a few drawing techniques. This will allow everyone the opportunity to add their own personal flairs to their drawings and practice the new skill set not only under the guidance of an art teacher but also at home. Doing so will allow each student to build their confidence outside of class and create a sense of independence.
