30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this one time course students will bring their cat to class and teach them how to paint a picture in a fun silly way (obviously a safe way to!) This cat art can get a little messy, but everything will wash up from most surfaces with water if cleaned up right away. It can stain clothes, so I suggest a clothing cover or old clothes. We will start the class by introducing our cats to each other. After introductions students will let their cat do their painting. Each student will have a chance to show their cats art at the end of the class. I will encourage students to tell each other what they see, an example of that is in the cover photo I see a birds head. Each painting will turn out differently and that's what makes it so fun and unique! Please note: Your cat will not be touching the paint. Please see the limited supply list to make sure your student is ready for class

Parental Guidance
Students will be using acrylic paint. It will wash from most surfaces if cleaned up right away, but it usually will stain clothes. I suggest letting them wear old clothing as a precaution.
Supply List
A small canvas works best, I recommend no larger than 5 by 7 Acrylic paint, I suggest a minimum of three colors, but more can be used. A ziplock bag big enough for the canvas to fit into and zip shut. Your cats favorite patte canned cat food (no chunky food, it doesn't work well, you need something smooth and somewhat sticky). Jar Baby food meats also work well. And of course your artist the cat! The hungrier the kitty the better!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello. I teach a lot of classes about animals and I also teach some reading classes. All of my animal classes are taught about animals that I own.
I love to educate people about animals, animal abuse and neglect. Almost all of my animals come to me as rescues. I like to teach others how to properly care for animals so that the animals can live a long and happy life. Research isn't always reliable as you get different answers in different books and it can be hard to figure out what's best. I am always open to questions. If you are interested in getting a certain pet, just want to learn about different pets or have a pet and want to verify the care is correct, I welcome everyone. I have also trained service dogs and I currently own a trained service dog.
I have taught local classes about the needs of turtles and tortoises, and also community education Sign language classes.
I am a homeschool parent. I have been homeschooling for over 15 years. In our homeschool adventure we use a lot of books and research for learning. We do not use textbooks.
I also have 3 years of college completed. I studied teaching with an emphasis on special education.
