During this lesson, children will learn table manners that they can use at a tea party or even while eating dinner with family and friends. The students will be engaged with a fun read aloud story called, Tea Party Rules. As we read through the story, we will pause and discuss different vocabulary words and their meanings, i.e. daintily, grubby, delicious. Also, we will create a list of Tea Party Rules as a group that we should follow during our tea parties or family dinners. To wrap up the lesson, we will act out a Tea Party with our favorite teddy bear, stuffed animal or doll. This will allow for a lot of teacher to student interaction, as well as some student to student interaction. This lesson will have a blend of teacher centered and student centered instruction. Your child will not need any required experience for this lesson!
