US Grade 4
In my social studies tutoring class, fourth graders will dive into exciting topics to enhance their understanding of the world around them. We'll explore various aspects of history, geography, civics, and culture, ensuring a comprehensive grasp of key concepts aligned with their curriculum. The class structure is designed to be engaging and interactive. We'll begin by reviewing homework or class assignments to identify areas for improvement. If homework help isn’t needed, then I’ll listen to your story and target lessons tailored to the student's needs. Using a variety of teaching methods such as games, slides, and video clips, I'll keep the learning experience dynamic and enjoyable. Many 4th grade state standards include: Revolutionary War Landforms Government Citizenship My teaching style is supportive and encouraging, fostering a positive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and explore new ideas. Learners will have ample opportunities to ask questions or work on phonics skills to read the tricky vocabulary. Whether it's through timelines, projects, or homework, students will be actively engaged throughout the session, making learning social studies a memorable and enriching experience. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Here's what other parents are saying about my tutoring: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "We have been working with Mrs Lewis for a few months now. Oh how I wish I would’ve found her sooner." -Angela "Mrs. Lewis is an excellent teacher. My daughter had a great time with her." -Christina
