This ongoing class will be held once a week for 40 min. the class will include 5 min of welcome, 15-20 min of tap, and 15-20 min of Ballet. 4) How will you teach? I will be teaching through a live zoom. I encourage all students to have their video camera and microphone on, but it is not required. 5) What's your teaching style? I use a very creative and engaging approach while teaching dance. Every step we do can be related to imaginative play. Such as a “Spank” in tap is like scooping ice cream off the floor. Or we will be going on adventures through the Jungle, being chefs, or catching butterfly on our ballet stretching journey. I also name my left and right sides to avoid confusion. Your right side is named “Sally” and your left side is named “Johnny”. 6) How much will learners get to interact with you and each other (mention specifics like: lecture, games, slides, video clips, discussion)? Throughout class we will be interacting as a group: like counting out loud, singing songs, and playing games. Also each child will have an opportunity to tell me what they are imagining while doing the steps. I always play fair and allow each student to have an opportunity to speak. 7) Any required experience or knowledge learners need? No experience is required. As an alternative to tap shoes, sneakers are fine. Students will be participating in a physical fitness/movement activities though out the class. Please be aware that your child can end up injuring themselves. Therefore please make sure your child has sufficient dance space, proper foot ware (choice of ballet shoes, barefoot, tap shoes, and/or sneakers). In addition, I encourage all students to have a water bottle near by and is warmed up before class to avoid injury’s. Parental supervision is strongly encourage to help your dancer assure there safety and spacial awareness. *Please Note: Class Filled up or can’t find a perfect time for your family Check out Tap, Ballet and Creative Movement Combo Class Featuring the same weekly themed and More
