Tangle/Doodle Art Project: Make Your Own Christmas Holiday Cards (for Tweens)

NOTE: If your learner is interested in this class but there are currently no times scheduled that work for them, PLEASE reach out to me - I would be very happy to arrange a time that will work better for their schedule!

In this one-time class students will learn how to create their own holiday cards with doodle art inspired by Zentangle that they can send to family & friends!

Students will make two different cards, one with a Christmas tree & the other with holiday ornaments. First we will draw the outline shapes, and then we will fill in each space with different "tangles" or doodles to create a fun, unique piece of art! Various tangle patterns will be demonstrated, or learners can also come up with their own. Creativity is especially encouraged!

NOTE: Learners should be able to use markers or pens with or without assistance for this project.

Supply List (these should be gathered before the start of the class):
* at least two blank cards to draw on; these can be purchased or made by folding a piece of paper in half (NOTE: printer paper is not best for this project because it is very thin & markers bleed through)
* black fine point markers (Ultra Fine Point Sharpie, Micron, Gel pens)
* colored pencils or crayons
