Description
Class Experience
Students will increase their visual literacy by "reading" a wordless book. Students will practice their oral language skills by retelling the story. Students will develop their writing skills by writing the story.
I am an elementary school librarian at a preK-grade 2 school. Before that, I was a first grade teacher for 6 years. During over 8 years of elementary teaching experience, I have taught many students to read and writing. I have used wordless picture books to teach reading comprehension skills and writing skills to great success. Students enjoy wordless books and are very engaged with them.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
