Class Experience

Intermediate Level
In this ongoing class, students will enhance their conversational Spanish skills by exploring various topics related to Spanish culture, such as hobbies, travel, climate, food, sports, and daily activities. This class is designed for learners who can communicate and understand Spanish at an intermediate to advanced level, even if their grammar isn’t perfect. It is not intended for beginners.

Each week, discussions will be guided by the teacher. We will start with greetings and introductions, followed by engaging conversation prompts to encourage participation. Every session will focus on a new theme, as outlined in the weekly schedule. To support students in expressing their ideas, I will provide helpful visuals and key vocabulary they can use to form sentences. This will help learners expand their vocabulary while feeling more confident in their conversations.

During class, I will also assist with pronunciation and correct grammar as needed. Learners will have plenty of opportunities to speak, express their ideas, and build confidence in a supportive environment.

The goal is to practice Spanish in a fun and engaging way while connecting with others in a safe and encouraging classroom setting. If you have any questions about your student's language level, feel free to reach out, I’m happy to help!

Hello, families!

I am excited to share my background and experience with you as I teach Spanish and help your child grow in language proficiency. As a native Spanish speaker and fluent in several languages, I have a strong passion for language learning and teaching.

I have over 6 years of experience teaching French and Spanish in both France and the USA, with students ranging from preschool to high school. This includes my time teaching at a private school in France, as well as my current role as a substitute Spanish teacher at a public middle school in the USA, where I work with students in grades 6 through 8. I also teach online and in-person lessons, adapting my teaching style to meet students' needs and creating engaging, interactive experiences.

In addition to my language skills, I have a strong background in music education and integrate music into my language instruction to make learning more enjoyable and memorable. As a singer-songwriter, I bring creativity and a love for music into my classes, which helps students connect with the language in a fun and dynamic way.

My multicultural competence enables me to thrive in diverse cultural environments, respecting and understanding various customs and traditions. I believe that my positive attitude and patience allow me to create a supportive and encouraging classroom where all students feel comfortable participating and improving their language skills.

I look forward to working with your child and helping them develop their Spanish proficiency in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment!
