This one-time class introduces students to basic handwritten note-taking skills and will cover taking notes from a lecturer or from a text (online or book). Many students struggle to understand WHAT to write or how to format notes for success. We will go through: * When to take notes * How to be prepared * What to write * Signals about what to capture * Things that should appear on every page of notes This is not a course for taking notes on a computer/laptop/iPad. Students who have fine motor or handwriting skills may attend class to understand note-taking concepts.

It can be helpful to have a textbook available, but not required.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
