I taught 4th-8th grade English in public and private schools. I am a trained writing teacher for the Institute for Excellence in Writing.
After Class 1: Brainstorm some adjectives, adverbs, and strong verbs to use in the essay. After Class 2: Add 2 dress-ups to the paragraph and write with correct grammar. Optional: Turn in your paragraph. I will give feedback but no formal grade.
I will provide handouts on the Classroom Page for students to print before class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Student will have a complete outline and paragraph. Optionally-I will give feedback on the final paragraph.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
I am using the structure and style taught in the Institute for Excellence in Writing.
