Students will learn standard, cursive handwriting and fun facts regarding fonts, signatures, and calligraphy.
Class experience
Each lesson will include letter demonstration and practice. Following each lesson, students will receive worksheets that may be used to guide their practice in between lessons. Students will be required to spend an ample amount of time in between classes practicing what they have learned. Although the focus of this class will be learning the mechanics and art of standard, cursive handwriting, each lesson will also include brief fun facts on topics such as calligraphy, fountain pens, fonts,...
When I attended elementary school in the 1970s, neat, legible, print and cursive handwriting was an important part of our education. I received good grades then and compliments throughout my life on my beautiful penmanship. In recent years, I’ve also dabbled in hand lettering and calligraphy art and have participated in events such as The Graceful Envelope Contest. In addition, I am a member of IAMPETH (International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers and Teachers of Handwriting), participate regularly in workshops, and attended their annual conference, IAMPETHvirtual '21. I have taught print handwriting, cursive handwriting, and fine motor skills practice for more than five years. Your student will find me to be patient, cheerful, and fun.

You will need a pen or pencil and some paper. There are no requirements for supplies; however, I recommend: ruled paper (preferably ½” ruled, or larger) ballpoint or gel pen In addition, I will provide worksheets for each lesson.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
