A weekly Tagalog class created for teens and the youth who wish to grow in their ability to speak and understand Tagalog. Students will also gain cultural insights about the Philippines.
Class experience
Kumusta! [Hello!] Learning Tagalog may be challenging, but it doesn't have to be difficult. With the right kind of tools and an enthusiasm to learn, it can be a goal that's fun to achieve. This course is designed for beginning learners with zero to a little knowledge of Tagalog. I prepare the lessons based on the understanding that students who are going to take this course know how to read and have a basic understanding of English grammar. It's the only basic requirement for this course....

I was born and raised in the Philippines. I speak 4 major Filipino languages/dialects. I was a licensed school teacher in the Philippines and taught Filipino (Tagalog) in the classroom. I understand how it is to learn a new language. I am patient and kind to my students. I strive to create a fun and engaging learning environment for my students. My students' progress is my success.
