🥷This high-energy martial arts class is designed to help students build confidence, focus, and respect while learning fundamental Taekwondo and Karate techniques. As a Kukkiwon-certified 2nd Dan Black Belt with a lifelong passion for martial arts, Teacher Monica brings both traditional training and a fun, engaging approach to help kids develop not only physical skills but also essential life values. 🥷Young ninjas will also learn the five tenets of Taekwondo throughout the weeks: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit, as well as how these values apply both in and out of training. Throughout each class, students will also learn Taekwondo Terminology in Korean and how to count to 10 in Korean! 🥋Class Structure: ⭕Warm-Up & Stretching - To improve flexibility and prevent injury ⭕Technique & Drills - To learn and refine Taekwondo movements ⭕Life Skill Focus - A short discussion on the tenet of the week ⭕Fun Challenge or Game - Martial arts-themed activities ⭕Closing - Cool-down and class bow-out 🥋Example Class: 1. Parental Guidance
Disclaimer: Students should have an open space free of obstacles to ensure safe movement during class. A water bottle is recommended to stay hydrated. Parents should consult a doctor before starting any new physical activity, especially if their child has any medical conditions or concerns.
Supply List
~ Comfortable workout clothes and light shoes (or a taekwondo uniform) ~ Water bottle ~ Open space for safe movement *you may be barefoot if the flooring is slip-proof *Uniforms are always encouraged! However, for a student's first class, they will need to earn their white belt by progress checking their new moves before the end of their first class (don't worry it's actually quite fun and stress free!)

This ongoing martial arts class teaches kids focus, discipline, and confidence through Taekwondo and Karate fundamentals, including stances, blocks, kicks, forms and the five tenets of Taekwondo.
Led by a Kukkiwon-certified 2nd Dan Black Belt, students will develop respect, perseverance, and self-control while improving coordination and strength. Teacher Monica started Taekwondo at 4 years of age, and earned their 1st Dan at age 11. Teaching Taekwondo during middle and high school is where Teacher Monica developed a love and passion for teaching. This led to them earning a Music Education degree to teach music and art to children and classrooms of all ages and grade levels.
